Manuscript Advisement

Manuscript advisement

Word Doc

I don't know who said that, but over the years it stuck.

For more than 35 years I've helped writers make their writing better, as well as more publishable. Sometimes I have found avenues for publication no one tried. I've seen a few prize winners into print, and a few bestsellers. Most of the books I've worked on with authors have found their way into print and have also reached an audience.

What about you?

Do you have an unwritten novel? Or a short story that hasn't seen the light of day? Do you have an idea for a book but don't know how to get started?

Why wait?

I can help.

"Thanks to my editors, Gerald and Loretta Hausman, who worked with me on The Andean Codex and helped pull the manuscript for this book along to its final form."

- Dr. J.E. Williams, author of The Andean Codex and Light of the Andes: In Search of Shamanic Wisdom in Peru

"Thank you, Gerald and Loretta Hausman for your friendship, inspiration and editing of my book."

- J.P. Baca, author of Blessings in Disguise

"Gerry Hausman and his wife Lorry contributed hugely with editing and advice, all with good humor and caring contribution. Working with them as mentors, critical thinkers and advisors has been a positive experience for this newbie author, and I will be ever grateful for their contribution."

- Pat Harris, author of Heks Island -- Earth: Refuge in the Okefenokee Swamp

"This work exists because Gerald and Lorry Hausman told me I should write. So I did. They and Alice Carney of Green River Writing Workshop immersed me in words, plots, possibilities and encouragement. The Hausmans later edited my work and held my hand through rewriting. I thank them with all my heart."

- Jo-Ellen Bosson, author of Fiona's Song

"My embrace to Lorry and Gerald Hausman for reading this book first in manuscript and offering stages of wise counsel."

- Bob Arnold author of I'm In Love With You Who Is In Love With Me
